FAMILY HISTORY DISCOVERY DAY
Celebrating Families Across Generations
Saturday, October 14th, 2017 9:30 am – 1:30 pm
Attendance is Free All Ages Welcome
Come celebrate National Family History Month, learning about new and insightful ways to find your ancestors, and create your own family legacy. Interactive booths and classes will provide helpful tools and information on subjects such as: Using Social Media to Tell Your Story, Planning Family Reunions, DNA Testing – Which Company is Right for You?, Visiting Ancestors Graves Online, How to Use the free Family Search Program, and many more. Additionally, this year, there will be special exhibits for working on Chinese Genealogy, and “India & The Indian Diaspora: Quest for Our Ancestors”. Boy Scouts are invited to come and earn their Genealogy Merit Badge with a special program dedicated just for them beginning at 10:30 am. New to genealogy? Onsite specialists will be available to help you get started. And old time Game Room, and Photo Booth will help to engage the young at heart in the spirit of Discovering their Family History.
