 on are thrilled to announce a special event\, "Resilience and Triumph: An 
 Evening with Best-Selling Author Daniel James Brown\," on Friday\, October
  25th at 7:00 PM in the Forum Auditorium at Diablo Valley College.\n\n&nbs
 p\;\n\nDaniel James Brown\, acclaimed author of the best-selling books "Th
 e Boys in the Boat" and "Facing the Mountain\," will share his inspiring j
 ourney from a DVC student to a celebrated writer. Brown's stories are powe
 rful testaments to resilience\, teamwork\, and triumph over adversity\, ma

 of "The Boys in the Boat\," which tells the true story of the University o
 f Washington's 1936 eight-oar crew and their epic quest for an Olympic gol
 d medal. His latest book\, "Facing the Mountain\," highlights the bravery 
 and sacrifice of Japanese American soldiers during World War II. “It’s
  not a story about victims. Rather it’s a story of victors\, of people s
 triving\, resisting\, rising up\, standing on principle\, laying down thei
 r lives\, enduring and prevailing\,” says Daniel James Brown.\n\n&nbsp\;
