    The just released book by Beverly Lane with Sharon Burke, published by History Press

    Beginning with the area’s geology and native peoples, Historic Tales of Alamo provides a comprehensive history of this vibrant community in the north part of the San Ramon Valley. Tales about the early settlers, the origin of Alamo’s name, the early ranchos, and title controversies. The book also covers the twentieth-century challenges the community has faced. In addition, are new as well as rarely seen photographs of Alamo. A special section on the origins of the street names is also included. This book is a must-read for any present or past Alamo resident or anyone with a curiosity about this great community.

    The authors will be having pre-release book signing on Sunday, June 6, 2021, from 1 to 3 at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley, 205 Railroad Ave. in Danville. This is a great opportunity to meet the authors as well as share tales of Alamo. While there take a moment and visit Big Cool Stuff an interesting and eclectic exhibit at the museum.

    The official book launch will be at the following locations:

    -Saturday June 12 Alamo ACE Hardware from 2-4, 3211 Danville Blvd Alamo

    -Sunday June 13 Alamo’s Farmer Market 10-1 at Alamo Plaza

    Please come by meet the authors and get a signed copy of this great book. If you are not able to attend any of the above book signing you can purchase the book at the Museum of the San Ramon Valley.
