DESCRIPTION:Contra Costa residents can get their county business done and e
 njoy a night of food\, fun\, and community at the annual Contra Costa Coun
 ty Block Party\, happening Thursday\, Aug. 28\, from 4–7 p.m. at the Ant
 ioch Community Center\, 4703 Lone Tree Way.\n\nHosted in collaboration wit
 h District 3 Supervisor Diane Burgis and the City of Antioch\, this free\,
  family friendly event makes it easy for community members to connect with
  County and City staff\, get support for important tasks\, and enjoy an ev
 ening of activities\, food\, and entertainment.\n\nThe Block Party offers 
 services outside of regular business hours\, including voter registration\
 , obtaining copies of vital records\, and applying for programs such as Ve
 terans Benefits\, CalFresh\, and Medi-Cal.\n\nGuests can explore on-the-sp
 ot services and resources from departments such as Contra Costa Health\, E
 mployment and Human Services\, Clerk-Recorder-Elections\, Public Works\, a
 nd Animal Services—plus many more. Families can climb aboard a Contra Co
 sta Fire truck for photos\, and food trucks will have meals and treats ava
 ilable for purchase. Parking is free.\n\nSince its launch in 2017\, the Co
 ntra Costa County Block Party has become a popular annual tradition\, rota
 ting to different locations each year to increase access to services and b
 uild stronger connections with communities across the County. This year ma
 rks the event’s seventh year of bringing resources\, staff\, and neighbo
