“… where happy people danced and sang, the skies clearing once more and the rain fresh in their fields, their celebration songs spreading to other valleys until the whole region was alive with the sound of their voices…”

And “David.”
With frogs a croakinā€™, owls hooā€™ hoo hoo hooinā€™, and weather geeks all in a titter, evening settles in.
Up is up and down is down, and then, a Cheshire cat descends from its perch with its upside-down grin.
Metal cups clanging on iron doors and the clink, clink of ankle chains stirring foretell a brewing storm.
The Notorious MTG is coming; itā€™s coming. All shall be freed. Zombie horde apocalypse shall perform.

And “Andy.”
The Valley became home to many and more, the huts equipped with ranges by Wolf and baths of marble.
Mommies and Daddies crept along crawly ribbons of asphalt to jobs in a fairyland city, humming a semi-rural ditty:

We all live in Su-bur-bia, with room for SUVs but not for newbies,
We keep the schools good and the barriers to entry high
Even though many of us are just barely scraping by.
Yes! We all live in Su-burb-ia! In Su-burb-ia we all live!

    • Ooh, sweet use of “mesocyclonic” and thanks for adding to our tale!

Nicely done. Let’s see if another local scribbler builds on your story arc. Who knows where this goes? We hear Apple and AMC are looking for story ideas…

    • Interesting… rocking a little Poe in there, and some politics?

Just took a call from Disney, they’re interested in optioning the rights.

  4. For the Music Bunker which also offers breaking news as it breaks, may I offer a soundtrack? Down in the Valley, the valley so low. All we need now is a romantic ending to this apocalyptic tale of weather, privilege, and woeful cost of living down in the valley.

  5. Is the Criswell in reference to ‘The Great Criswell’ of psychic buffoonery? He does the intro for ‘Plan 9 From Outer Space’. An interesting character.

  6. Judging from some of the spelling errors I’ve seen in comments here and elsewhere I’m surprised at the literacy!

  7. My friendsā€¦ā€¦it is Criswell. My friendsā€¦..we are all interested in the future for that is where you and I will spend the rest of our lives.
