SHARE

Two people were shot and seriously wounded after gunfire broke out in the 1600 block of Haller Court Sunday.

The shooting was reported at approximately 10 p.m. Police and fire department personnel are at the scene and police are apparently canvassing for witnesses and evidence.

Neighbors contacting this site said they heard a flurry of shots – as many as six – and heard screaming shortly before first responders arrived at the scene.

Subsequent reports of police actions in various parts of the city could not be confirmed, nor could information developed that various vehicles may have been towed away for processing of evidence. Reports of detentions/arrests could also not be confirmed.

In a statement released at around 2 p.m. Monday, Concord PD wrote, in part:

“The investigation revealed it was a gang related drive-by shooting and information was obtained about the suspect car. Officers later located that car and have arrested and charged two adult males with attempted murder.”
