  1. In my opinion, pot should have never been legalized in California. Not even for supposed medical use. Nothing in society has improved because of it, but things only have gotten worse. We have a lot more potheads. I’ve seen personal friends ‘get stupid’ over the stuff, all the while claiming ‘its just like a glass of wine’. It’s not The pot industry has fooled us all and is wrecking a lot of lives in it’s wake

  2. You make some valid points GregT., but I disagree as to not allowing medical use. It really helped me get through my cancer treatment. I also use it to help me sleep at night.

    • Thanks for your post and candor, Joe.

If it’s not a huge imposition, could you tell us how you ingested the product? Smoked vs. oils, etc?

We ask because our straight-as-an-arrow papa asked about it when he was sick and we stood ready to fulfill his needs, but his clock ran out before he could bring himself to say yes. (Old School).

      • Hi. I took gummies and chocolate candies. Really help me sleep. If you go to a dispensary they are usually knowledgeable and always helpful. No interest in smoking anymore. Hope this was helpful. Cheers.

  3. OMG, they are growing plants! Weeds! Send the Weed Police!
They’ll have to pry my English rosehips from my cold dead hands!

  4. I don’t believe in legalization of pot for recreational or medical use. I’m not straight-as-an-arrow, but a lot of us have seen drugs destroy too many good people. I’m glad my parents never did drugs, and I would cringe at the thought of my mom or dad smoking weed even for medical use in their elderly years. “Old school” is ADMIRABLE.

Marijuana is still illegal under federal law, and federal law supersedes state law.

I’m a parent and parents okay with drugs are LOUSY parents. Great example you’re setting for your kids. Unbelievable.

    • We guess terminal cancer and seeing the unbearable pain in a loved ones eyes isn’t enough to change your mind and that’s fine.

We were ready to do whatever he wanted to ease that pain and, although he ended up not asking for it, we’d do it again.

      • I’ve seen unbearable pain in the elderly and they took the pain medication prescribed by their doctor. Marijuana for the elderly causes more harm than good. It leads to falls, weight gain and it’s terrible for your lungs, just like smoking.

Most doctors DON’T believe in medical marijuana for obvious reasons.

        • I was in the same space. It was horrible of course because I didn’t know what to do or where to go. My problem was solved when a neighbor in her eighties visited with edibles. It was the first time my mother was able to forget her pain in weeks. They talked with each other for a long time and our neighbor visited regularly until the end.

  5. Using cannabis for pain management following joint replacement surgery spared me the misery of opioid withdrawal after week one and thus reduced the risk of opioid addiction ravaging my young family’s lives.

Parents who would deny ill or injured patients the option to medicate with cannabis — or any other pain management modality— under color of law, no less, are lousy parents.

They’re not only teaching their children that barbarism and suffering are virtuous, but also that such perverse “virtues” must be imposed on the rest of society.

    Great example they’re setting!

Enlightened communities have no place for such grotesque intolerance.

  6. It’s a plant. It grows. Who would outlaw weeds or the cultivation of non-toxic plants in a free society? If we had a free society.

  7. If it was not for cannabis I would still having seizures. Since then (over 20 yrs ago) I have had not one seizuer since then. I’m glad and have a better life since. I have had seizures since I was 15 yrs old and now I’m 62. So I had Them for 47 yrs. One day I had 3 in a row and stopped breathing if it wasn’t for cannabis I’m not sure if I would still be alive. Im100% for cannabis for anyone that needs it.
