Walnut Creek’s Ashland Smoke Shop Robbed Thursday

Walnut Creek police are investigating a robbery of the Ashland Smoke Shop at 2931 N Main Street Thursday afternoon.

Employees said the passenger of a blue Jeep Grand Cherokee or Wrangler left the vehicle and entered the business at 6:10 p.m., telling workers he was armed with a handgun though no weapon was seen.

The robber left the store with an unknown quantity of stolen goods or cash. There were no reported injuries.

He was described as a Hispanic male, 30s, 6′ 3″ tall with long hair.

  1. Awful. A former WCPD reserve told me today that individuals with guns in WC just get a field release citation now. Tougher in crime or this will be happening everyday. 108RS

    • This is just one of many reasons we left California. I wasn’t about to spend one more dime of my money there. Living in Arizona has been eye opening. I bought twice the size house for half the money. No stupid covid mandates at all. Much cheaper state taxes and my property taxes are half of what we paid in Ca.
