From The Museum of the San Ramon Valley:

Dhriti Avala, a senior at California High School in San Ramon, has been awarded the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, given to honor the most outstanding volunteers and the impact they have made.

The Museum of the San Ramon Valley is proud to have made this possible by being the Certifying Organization for Ms. Avala. She has also volunteered at Kaiser Hospitals but this was cut short by the onset of Covid19.

At the Museum she has amassed over 2000 volunteer hours. During this time she has been a greeter at the entry to the museum welcoming visitors, handling fees, and admission. Beyond that she answers the many questions visitors have about the 1891 building they are visiting. In addition to her greeter responsibilities she has trained and mentored many of the student volunteers that staff the museum on Sundays.
