A police pursuit of a reportedly stolen motorhome ended with a series of crashes and a tactical scenario played out on Bollinger Canyon Road at Market Place Wednesday evening.

Residents first reported a pursuit wending it way along Bollinger Canyon Road with police cars behind a large motor home reportedly stolen out of San Francisco shortly before 8 p.m. – the RV entering the intersection against a red light and hitting a Prius in front of San Ramon City Hall before rolling onto its side at Bollinger and Market Place. The driver of the Prius was not seriously injured.

Police quickly shut down the area as diners and shoppers watched the scenario unfold, a police armored car rolling onto the scene when officers determined a suspect was either trapped or injured inside the RV.

Drones were deployed to assess the situation inside the capsized motor home and a man could apparently be seen inside. A crew was sent in to extricate him when it was determined he was apparently unconscious. He was taken out on a backboard and taken to John Muir Hospital but his condition, identity, and related information remain unknown.
