Woman Killed In Auto Vs. Pedestrian Collision On Concord Boulevard Monday

A 72-year-old Union City woman died after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Concord Boulevard and Denkinger Road Monday morning.

Evangelina Marquez was identified by county coroner’s officials Tuesday.

The collision was reported at 7:22 a.m. Marquez was attempting to cross Concord Boulevard when a vehicle driving in the westbound direction struck her, police said.

The driver, a 69-year-old man, remained at the scene.

  1. No it’s people speeding because they are is such a hurry to get where they’re going. I saw an angry woman this morning yelling at a crossing guard at an elementary school while dropping my son off at a nearby high school. I wanted to track her down in my car and beat the living shit out her. But I didn’t, my cool head prevailed…
