Sink Hole Surfaces – Or Sub-Surfaces – In Alamo Friday

SHARE

Neighbors living in the area of Valley Oaks Drive and Stone Valley Road in Alamo have something new to talk about tonight after a failing water main undermined their road and turned the asphalt into an unnavigable undulating slab.

The failure was first noticed at 6:38 p.m. with police and town crews quickly putting up barricades to keep drivers and unsuspecting neighborhood walkers at bay. East Bay Municipal Utility District crews arrived and shut off water to keep the main from flooding further.

Neighbors were told repairs could take up to two days.

  1. “a failing water main”? So, no people were actually involved then? EBMUD and PG&E will be happy to hear that. Sh*! just happens.
