UPDATE: A 32-year-old Antioch man has been charged with gross vehicular manslaughter in connection with this crash. Prosecutors filed the single felony count against Jeffrey Adelmann, alleging he was drowsy and ignored a passenger’s pleas to stop before running a “solid red light at a very high speed.”

ORIGINAL: A suspected red light runner touched off a multi-vehicle collision on Crow Canyon Road that left a woman dead Wednesday.

Officers responded in under a minute to an area near Bollinger Canyon Road after receiving numerous calls of a crash in the area at approximately 12:15 p.m. Police found a woman trapped in her car and rendered aid. The victim, 56-year-old San Ramon resident Susan Guinee, was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene.

The collision involved a total of three vehicles. Three other involved parties were either transported to the hospital by ambulance or treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries by responding paramedics.

Officers determined that Guinee’s Honda had been struck on the driver’s side by a Dodge pickup truck traveling east on Crow Canyon Road and are working to determine if the truck’s driver ran a red light.
