There are quite a few deserving projects out there, all looking for a little funding to see things through to completion, but we liked this one for its method and intended goal.
Harrison Guo-Albright’s Eagle Project involves his plan to build an outdoor zen garden space for the Reutlinger Community Senior Home’s dementia ward.
The Danville Eagle plans to construct two smaller wooden planter boxes along each side of the walls, one larger wooden planter box as the main focal point, and two wooden bench-planters so that residents can view the garden from a room that looks out to the garden space.
“Along with a bird bath and a fresh layer of wood chips, this garden space will help to relax the residents and provide them with many opportunities to be outdoors, aiming to brighten up their days and introducing more happiness and peace into their lives,” the Landscape Designer/Eagle proclaimed.
We like the approach. Perhaps you will, too.
