PG&E Says 960 Customers Will Lose Power Tonight – Possibly Through Friday

Pacific Gas & Electric has called for a Public Safety Power Shutoff starting tonight, Wednesday, starting as early as 8 p.m.

The shutoff, designed to lessen the chance of fire danger, during a period of adverse weather conditions, is expected to impact 929 customers in Alamo, Canyon, Clayton, Morgan Territory, Danville, Diablo, Orinda and Walnut Creek, according to the utility.

Affected homes could be dark until 10 a.m. Friday.
