Coroner’s officials have identified the body of a boater reported missing in the Delta Friday as 29-year-old Joseph Thomas Cairel of Marina, Calif.
Divers responded to Indian Slough, west of Lido Bay, to help recover a body later identified as Cairel on Sunday.
Investigators said it was not known how Cairel went into the water. Companions with him at the time said he went under and did not resurface.
