Some cyclists may announce their presence on the road with a handlebar horn – police in Concord said one local two-wheeler made himself seen by waving a rather large pistol in the air.

Yeehaw.

Officers say a local resident driving on Concord Avenue near Market Street yesterday spotted this man weaving in and out of traffic on a bike – allegedly waving this hand cannon in the air as he went.

Police followed up on the resident’s prescient call that armed cycling may not be wise and took both cyclist and handgun into custody.

  1. That’s a legit hand cannon!

The recoil from that .44 mag would almost certainly knock that petite peep off his bike if he discharged a round while riding.

    • “I know what you’re thinking, punk, you’re thinking did I weave in and out of traffic four times or only three? But seeing as how this is a .44. Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and it would blow me clean off this bike if I were to discharge it… You’ve got to ask yourself a question: ‘do I feel lucky?’ Well, do ya, punk?”

  2. judging by the smile, I’m surprised that guy could ride a bike. Also, if you are going to tape the butt of the gun, didn’t Clemenza specifically tell you to tape the trigger? Doh!
