A sharp jolt caused a few anxious moments for residents in the 24/680 Monday, rippling out to the hinterlands and sparking commentary from anxious residents still jittery from power outages and fires.
Monday’s quake struck at 10:33 p.m. and appeared to rumble up from under Pleasant Hill. When all was said and done, the shaker was logged as a 4.5 Magnitude rocker.
None of that scientific stuff mattered to Keenan Parmalee’s cat, who happened to be sitting in its human’s lap when the shaker went off – followed quickly by Keenan’s cat, who did a little damage in its haste to get away.
Everyone is apparently settling down after a jumpy evening, with no significant damage or injuries – other than Keenan – reported.
