From the Office of the District Attorney:

Martinez, Calif. – Last week, defendant Curtis Hill (59-year-old Concord resident) was convicted, by a Contra Costa County jury, of first degree residential burglary. On August 16, 2019, the jury returned findings that the Defendant had been convicted of three prior strike offenses – two prior residential robberies and a residential burglary. In his prior residential robbery conviction, he committed great bodily injury on a person over the age of 60.

The charges stem from the evening of August 3, 2018, when Hill entered the victim’s Concord home. He selected jewelry from a bedroom in the home and then fled the scene. Later that same evening, he was arrested by the Concord Police Department.

Hill has a long history of theft, violence, and disorderly conduct in the downtown Concord area. His behavior has made him a longstanding nuisance and danger to the residents of Concord and law enforcement in the area.

This conviction constitutes a third strike for the defendant. He is next in court on September 27, 2019, to set a sentencing before Judge Christopher Bowen.

Deputy District Attorney Chris Sansoe prosecuted the case on behalf of the People. DDA Sansoe is assigned to our Office’s Victims of Violent Crime Unit. The trial lasted 14 days in Department 40 before Judge Bowen.

  1. This article proves my point, that the liberal judges in California let the criminals out as fast as the police can arrest them! And to get political here, I have to say that State Republican leaders have tried to tighten things up but they are outnumbered and turned down by the Democrat majority. I don’t know why the Democrats seem to be so lenient on crime. I’m tempted to say that this is their voter base, but I know that would not be right. But why then? Is this another one of the failed social policies that they won’t admit too, but keep carrying on?

    • The liberal mindset is clouded by emotion, not judgment. It’s a “feel good” way of thinking. Liberals are too soft on everything. Just be thankful most Americans are moderates or conservatives.

The funniest thing about Liberals… liberal men prefer Republican women, and wealthy Liberal women refuse to date Liberal men. I thought a liberal friend of mine was kidding when she told me this. I googled it, and she was telling me the truth! They don’t want anything to do with their own political leaning!

    • To which State Republican leaders are you referring? I am not aware of any. Not one. The Republican Party is a declining fringe group representing 20+ percent of registered voters. There will always be room for “conservative” or status quo voices in the state, but Donald Trump is actively working to reduce the numbers of Republicans in the state. It is unclear what the “loyal opposition” will look like when it eventually re-emerges as a force. Hopefully it will be political and not fascist.

  2. There is nothing funny about “Liberals.” We take ourselves very seriously. But thanks for the dating advice. It has been most uh, umm, not in line with my life’s experience. And if I ever had dated a Trump Republican, and I’m not saying I did, she would be locked in the basement right now, and I’m not saying she is.
