Walnut Creek police are responding to a reported attempted car burglary which – apparently – ended in a struggle over a knife between the suspected burglar and the owner of the targeted car.

This incident is evolving and was reported at around 1 p.m., with police called to the 2700 block of Oak Road in response to reports of a fight on the street.

Initial reports are that the owner of a targeted car confronted a suspect burglar – Hispanic male, short hair, black t-shirt – that the suspect displayed a knife and a fight ensued.

Unconfirmed reports that the would-be victim was able to disarm the suspect could not be immediately confirmed so we do not know if the suspect, who was last seen running off down the Iron Horse Trail, may still be armed.

  1. Sure wouldn’t want to try selling a condo in that crime infested corridor right now!

Glad the guy was able to disarm his dirtbag neighbor, but people move to Walnut Creek to avoid knife wielding robbers.
