Martinez PD Seek Witnesses To Alhambra Avenue Hit And Run

Martinez, Ca – On June 6th, at 11:43pm, officers from the Martinez Police Department heard a collision in the 2500 block of Alhambra Avenue and responded to the area. Upon arrival, officers located a 55-year-old female pedestrian down in the roadway. Officers provided aid to the female who was semi-conscious at the time. She was then transported to a local trauma center, where she is receiving care for several injuries.

During a preliminary investigation, it was determined the female was struck by a vehicle while she was crossing the roadway. Officers canvassed the area of the collision, but did not immediately locate any suspects or witnesses. Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage for possible leads.

At the time of this press release, the victim is still in critical condition. Her identity is being withheld at this time pending notification to her family.
