Danville Searching For Volunteers To Serve On Local Commissions

The Town of Danville is looking for residents interested in serving on one of several commissions seeking new members. City Clerk Marie Sunseri said the following commissions are in the process of accepting applications. All terms begin July 1, 2019.

Parks and Leisure Services Commission – 1 alternate position (term ends June 30, 2021)

Youth Representative – Parks and Leisure Services Commission – two-year term

Arts Commission – 3 regular positions and 1 alternate position for four-year terms

Design Review Board – 1 regular position (term ends December 31, 2022)  * architectural, engineering, construction experience preferred

Poet Laureate – one position – two-year term

Contra Costa Transportation Authority Citizens Advisory Committee – one Danville representative – two-year term

County Connection – one Danville representative – two-year term

 


Applicants will be invited to interview with the Town Council on one of the following dates:

June 4 or June 18, 2019 – evening session

June 11, 2019 – morning session

The deadline to file an application is 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.
