Police are actively searching for suspects who arranged a meeting at an Alamo jewelry store to authenticate an expensive wristwatch – then snatched the timepiece and fled in a waiting car.
It is believed the suspects met the owner of the watch through an online site dedicated to the sale of such jewelry and agreed to meet the owner at the Danville Boulevard jeweler in order to have it authenticated.
One of a suspected three persons involved in the theft grabbed the Rolex – worth an estimated $33,000 – and ran from the store to a waiting car. A search for the suspects is underway.
