Pedestrian Killed After Collision In Pacheco Wednesday

A man was struck and killed while walking in the area of Brown and Aspen drives in Pacheco Wednesday morning.

The area was quickly sealed off to provide for evidence collection following the 7:52 a.m. collision.

Investigators initially determined that a woman was driving a grey Nissan Cube southbound on Aspen Drive when for unknown reasons the male pedestrian stepped into the roadway, directly in front of the Nissan, according to the CHP.

The collision resulted in fatal emergencies for the pedestrian, with emergency personnel pronouncing him deceased at approximately 8:04 a.m.

Investigators say that neither alcohol or drugs concerning the driver of the Nissan are not a factor in this collision but is unknown regarding the deceased pedestrian.
