A major fire burning largely out of control has sent up immense amounts of smoke in the area of Paradise in Butte County, near Chico.
That smoke is prompting calls from concerned homeowners here in Contra Costa.
We have Flashed admonitions about the presence of smoke here and our concern for our neighbors in Butte County but not everyone appears to be getting the word. Perhaps you’ll help us spread the news that although our air is smoky, our county is unscathed while another takes a pounding from a fast-moving blaze.
UPDATE: Friends… okay, we kinda predicted this would happen but we are now getting DOZENS of inquiries about smoke in our airspace.
