An announcement from our pal Geoff Gillette and the City of Danville:

As part of Danville’s ongoing efforts to recognize and commemorate community history, a ceremony highlighting one of the Town’s historic resources is scheduled for Friday, September 14, 2018.

Members of the Danville Town Council, Heritage Resource Commission, Museum of the San Ramon Valley, and Town staff will be on hand to unveil the historic plaque designated for 349 Hartz Avenue.  The location, currently Meenar Music Club, was originally McDonald’s Drug Store.

Town of Danville Principal Planner David Crompton said the plaque program is designed to call attention to Danville’s rich history, and provide residents with a sense of the historic significance of these sites.

The plaque ceremony for September 14, 2018 is set for 6:00 p.m. at the site at 349 Hartz Avenue.

For more information on the program, contact Principal Planner David Crompton at (925) 314-3349 or dcrompton@danville.ca.gov.
