Martinez police are looking for three men who allegedly made off with a generator from the Home Depot store at 1037 Arnold Drive Monday, reportedly pushing aside a loss prevention officer who attempted to intervene.

Witnesses said the trio, described as Hispanic males, entered the store at around 2:45 p.m., grabbed the generator and threw the device into the trunk of a waiting car after one of the men pushed the security officer aside as they made off with their prize.

The men reported escaped in a silver or grey Honda Accord.

    • Seems like a plan… we’re sure no one would mind being plunged into darkness for a few hours!

      • As we discussed, I do love a good power outage! Gets people outside and chit-chatting with their neighbors.

        • It does, though we’d be snooping around to see who has off-grid power AND food lockers in case of an extended outage! We actually bought Lithium generators to keep our household appliances functioning silently should The Big One strike!
