Patriotic Gunman Holds Up Danville Bank Thursday

Danville police are on the lookout for a man who entered the First Republic Bank at 680 Hartz Avenue a little before noon Thursday, presented a banking officer with a note demanding money and reinforced that demand by displaying a pistol.

The suspect is described as a white male with fair complexion and acne scars, 6’ 1”, 260-270 lbs, 40-50 years old, wearing tan cargo pants, a salmon polo shirt and a white hat with the American flag on it.

He is believed armed with a Beretta pistol, kept in a folding or zip up case.

    • We don’t believe so, Lissette. Different description and the suspect in that case made off with an opioid.
