Thirteen-Year-Old Valley View Middle School Student Arrested, Guns Seized, After Shooting Threat

On Friday, June 1 at around 6 p.m., the Concord Police Department was notified by the FBI regarding a concerning social media message that was shared between two students from Valley View Middle School in Pleasant Hill. The Pleasant Hill Police Department was subsequently notified by the Concord Police Department that the message regarded a mass shooting which was scheduled to occur on the last day of school.

The Pleasant Hill Police Department in conjunction with the Concord Police Department served a search warrant at a Martinez residence and seized several firearms. A thirteen year old Valley View Middle School student was arrested and booked into the Contra Costa County Juvenile Hall for terrorist threats.

  1. So, Franklin Graham was right to come to the Bay Area.
    He preached the sanctity of human life, consequentions for actions and a way to be forgiven.
    I pray Chaplins will talk with the kids in juvenile hall and those 3 school campuses.
    We have all gone wrong. And church, God and forgiveness is the answer.
    Also removing the “innocent” violence from video games, tv and movies.
    As all of you, I am soooo glad these two kids did not prevail. Thank you FBI.
