A 42-year-old Fremont man was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property and carrying a billy club after briefly walking onto the campus of Northgate High School Wednesday.

The school was placed under lockdown shortly after 1 p.m. as Walnut Creek police moved in to arrest James Nisleit after he was spotted carrying a bag and dressed in camouflage attire near the school.

A car believed to have been used by Nisleit and reported stolen earlier from an address in San Leandro was also recovered nearby.
