San Ramon Motorcycle Officer Injured In Marsh Creek Road Crash Thursday, Airlifted to Local Hospital

UPDATE from San Ramon PD Capt. Denton Carlson: We are relieved to report our officer is doing well as this could have been much worse. He is currently in the hospital with some decent injuries but is already joking with visitors.

Information provided by our colleagues at East County Today: 

At 5:30 am Thursday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle crash at Marsh Creek Road near Deer Valley Road in unincorporated Brentwood.

A medical helicopter was requested after it was reported of a “bike” being 50-ft off the roadway.

By 6:30 am, the incident command was breaking down.

Update from CHP:
According to the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District, firefighters located the victim of the crash, a San Ramon Police Motorcycle Officer had run off the road and crashed into a telephone pole.

The patient had moderate injuries from the crash and being thrown from his bike. He was flown to a trauma center. CHP is investigating. We wish him a speedy recovery.
