San Ramon Regional Medical Center has appointed Ann Lucena as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Effective April 23, 2018, Lucena will assume responsibility for all hospital operations, executive planning and directing medical services. Gary Sloan recently announced his retirement and will be stepping down as CEO.
Lucena served as Associate Administrator at the hospital for three years prior to serving with Tenet in Dallas. While at San Ramon Regional, she managed the cardiopulmonary, radiology, pharmacy, laboratory, volunteer and dietary services. She was also heavily involved in the hospital’s due diligence for the joint venture agreement with John Muir, and she oversaw several key construction and expansion projects.
Lucena joined Tenet in 2012 after a broad range of experiences including healthcare investment banking and healthcare consulting. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She has served on the Tenet Healthcare Foundation Board, Tenet Care Fund Committee and Tenet Benefits Administration Committee.
Lucena was the Vice Mayor of the Leadership San Ramon Valley class of 2013.
