The Museum of the San Ramon Valley will be hosting noted author Claudine Chalmers for a presentation and discussion on her book Chronicling the West for Harper’s: Coast to Coast with Frenzeny & Tavernier. Ms Chalmers is a widely known expert on these two French painters. Her discussion will chart the travels of these two painters for Harper’s Magazine. Their drawings and paintings helped to define the emerging American West. In addition Ms Chalmers is well known for her for her knowledge of the French in America.
