Managers of the landmark Rheem Theatre in Moraga let their marquee say it all Sunday night.
The movie house has operated on a shoestring despite the continued generosity of its fans but dwindling finances and rising costs doomed the local Neon Lady, built in 1957.
That’s it? No more movies?
@Tim – Final curtain. From what we hear.
Someone said it pretty well on your facebook page: Nostalgia won’t pay the bills.
So sad.
Used to go there when we were kids. Lots of good memories.
Thanks for the memories…

@Robert – Good one!
Change sucks
All the best people used to go there. Now the haters have killed it. So much carnage in Moraga. Sad!
Let’s get a Dollar General in there to compete with Dollar Tree!
Turn it into an In-n-Out
Sad
Photo says it all.
