  1. Very odd. How on earth would someone think to rob a person/apartment in the middle of a senior housing complex of a Wednesday evening? Employee of the complex? Friend of a friend? Other than a car, not much in the way of high value goods. Can’t figure the why of random folks hitting our communities, where they presumably don’t know the back roads, dead ends, escape routes. Was shocked at the Palos Verdes Mall robbery. Knew the owners of a jewelry store there for years, who chose the location as far away from freeway ramps and BART, so less likely to be a robbery target. They were not happy when a bank branch opened, and retired not long after, closing the store.

  2. I’m glad he wasn’t hurt. As far as the crime, I’m not surprised at all. Armed robbery happens all the time. Maybe he got off BART – not too far away. A reason to steal a car? To get from Point A to Point B – San Francisco. The criminal mindset – they think differently than we do.

  3. I bet this hoody wearing hood WAS praying on senior citizens!
And I bet he currently has an outstanding warrant for his arrest or is a jail parolee! When are we going to wake up and need to start locking these people up and punishing them again. . What we’re doing now is not working, and only swelling the ranks of victims who have been violated by these perps..
