Museum of the San Ramon Valley
Museum Exhibit and Downtown Danville Tour
In September, playbills from Eugene O’Neill plays will be featured in the Museum of the San Ramon Valley’s waiting room. On Saturday, September 9 at 10 am, local historian Beverly Lane will lead a Danville tour called “The Secrets of O’Neill in Danville” which begins at the Front Street O’Neill Commemorative and concludes at the Museum, 205 Railroad Ave., Danville.
These events are collaborations among the Museum, the Eugene O’Neill Foundation, Tao House, and the National Park Service. The stunning playbills come from the Foundation’s archives and include many of playwright O’Neill’s most famous plays. The museum exhibit will also provide information on the Irish influences which informed many of his plays and which influenced his life.
A September 7 program at the Museum, “Ballads and Blarney,” is sold out.
