San Ramon Valley Volunteers Rally To Help Fight Hunger Around The World

Over the weekend, hundreds of individuals and families, from Danville, Alamo, & San Ramon, worked side by side to prepare over 200,000 life saving meals to feed thousands of starving children in the developing world.
Through the collaborative efforts of The San Ramon Valley Interfaith Council, Feed My Starving Children, and JustServe.org., over 1200 community volunteers, aged 5 and older,  gathered together in an energetic atmosphere, to lend their support in making a difference in lives of less fortunate children all over the world…one meal at a time.
For two days, men, women and children lovingly produced truck loads of meals consisting of “Manna Packs”- a power packed formula of rice, soy protein, vegetables, and vitamins and minerals, to help combat hunger and malnutrition. These Manna Pack meals will be shipped to more than 70 countries, where they will be used to operate orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding programs to break the cycle of poverty.
This year’s event was hosted at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints Stake Center in Danville.

  1. Very nice to know that someone cares enough to do something about it. You may never be able to solve the problem but this is a nice step in the right direction.
