We were semi-joking with readers earlier about watching for volcanic activity during seismic events at one of our favorite landmark mountains and then we get this!
Submitted by a reader we’ll happily credit if they wish to come out from behind the smokescreen but this was actually the scene in Benicia earlier today, Friday. A shelter in place order was enacted during a flaring incident at the Valero Refinery up that way and we can see why!
Definitely smoky, but no pyroclastic flow! The order to shelter has since been lifted…
