The incident was reported at 5:39 p.m. and is still underway at this moment (6:28 p.m.).

There are no reports of injuries but loud explosions have been heard. BART police called for assistance in their evacuation of 400 passengers aboard a Lafayette-bound train stalled on the aerial portion of the line above the station.

Fire crews have water on the source of the blaze and are dampening sparks and embers thrown from the power station. BART police have requested more officers to assist with the evacuation of a train in the station. It was not immediately known how many passengers were affected.
