Dublin’s Alamo Creek Swells – To The Delight Of A Local Egret

We don’t know what it is about inclement weather and running water but apparently it makes our readership jump out of their cars to take photos – and we’re glad they do.

This side-by-side comparison of normally sedate Alamo Creek in Dublin is brought to you by Amanda Farrell, one of our “Eight Amandas” – an erstwhile band of Photo-Commandos who appear to be everywhere at once.

We’re grateful to her – and to our other Amandas, too, of course.

  1. I’m not sure I agree. I think it’s easier to pluck food from a meandering creek than a fast-flowing deep stream. Not that I have personal experience in the matter. Wait, I do. It’s easier to catch crawdads with a piece of bacon on a string when the water is calmer.
