A 29-year-old Danville man was arrested on an array of charges Thursday after neighbors in the 300 block of Squirrel Ridge Way reported noises coming from a side door of their garage and an officer stopped a man wearing dark clothing he found in the area.
The incident was reported at around 2:46 am on Thursday, January 26 when the homeowner was alerted to the noise and contacted police.
Town spokesman Geoff Gillette said officers made contact with Brandon Daughton, 29, of Danville and took him into custody after further investigation.
Daughton was charged with residential burglary, attempted residential burglary, tampering with a vehicle, petty theft and probation violation. He was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Homegrown burglar. Now that’s peculiar.
Well that’s not good. We have enough problems with outsiders coming here to steal from us without having our own neighbors ripping us off.
Sounds domestic in nature.
