It was back to work for most folks in the 24/680 Monday and, unfortunately, more than a few cars were came into contact with one another as we maneuvered to and fro.
The aftermath of this collision, captured by NEWS24/680 Reader Pamela Dunn, occurred at 4:34 p.m. on Pleasant Hill Rd. at Taylor Blvd. when the driver of the Cadillac shown above ran a stoplight at that location, striking at least two other vehicles.
Police said an unidentified man crawled from the wreckage of the Cadillac pictured above and ran from the scene. He was seen jumping fences and going through backyards, apparently bleeding heavily, and was eventually located in a backyard near Dublin Ct. and Dublin Dr.
Pleasant Hill said the man sustained injuries from the collision and appeared to have possible stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The drivers of the other two vehicles had minor injuries and were also transported to local hospitals for treatment for their injuries.
I’m so glad no innocent people were killed. But frankly, I don’t care much about the criminal that caused the wreck and endangered all the other people.
Those cars are soooo 20th century. What is needed here is the 360 degree spinner that you see rolling or spinning through the airport terminal on luggage. Maximum maneuverability. You don’t even need that 4th wheel. Think of the money you’d save on tires and wheel alignments with only 3 wheels. Install Tesla autopilot as everyone’s driver, and problem solved. Make the optional Frogger game programming standard and no need for stop signs. Every intersection becomes a roundabout.
Just a thought.
