Orinda Water Main Break Raises Nearby San Pablo Creek

Residents living in the area of a water main break on Glorietta Boulevard at Daryl Drive Monday couldn’t help but notice that all that water had to go somewhere – and it appeared to be headed downstream in San Pablo Creek.

Local Greg Fulcher, who shot the video, said the normally sedate creek was running about two feet higher with all that new water feeding into it.

  1. Is this EBMUD’s water…..the precious water they’re so ready to penalize me for, and publicly shame me for using too much of?

  2. I’ll bet some of the water pipes under our feet are thin as paper and held together by rust. I’m looking for more of this to happn over time.
