National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Saturday – County Sheriff Drop-Off Locations

On Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 10 AM to 2 PM, the Contra Costa County Office of the
Sheriff and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its 11th opportunity in six years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.

Bring your pills for disposal at the following sites. The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

  1. You can drop off unwanted, unused prescription drugs at the Moraga Police Department year-around during business hours. There is a green collection box located in the lobby and directions are posted. Ziplock bags are provided for packaging. You do not need to be a Moraga resident to use this service…all are welcome!   3. Brendan: Just a guess, but I would bet that you could drop off sharps at any major lab, wherever they draw blood…

    I have used the Moraga Rx and OTC drop off. Much better than flushing into the water supply. I have a serious psychological aversion to man boobs and p….. shrinkage, so I don’t flush Rx.
