Lafayette police searched the downtown area Monday for a man who entered the Chase bank branch at 3492 Mt. Diablo Boulevard and demanded money from a teller.
The suspected, described as a white male in his mid-30s, 6’2″ tall with a full black beard, ball cap with a grey “Monster” energy drink logo on the front, and dark clothes entered the bank at 3:40 p.m. and went to a teller’s window to demand the cash.
No weapon was seen and it was not immediately known if a note was presented. No one was reported harmed during the incident.
The man fled the scene in an unknown direction and it was not known if he left the area on foot or in a car.
