You find out what we’re made of when the chips are down and things go bad – as they did within a few short minutes on Sunday night.
But, as the prospect of another day without power or heat looms for about 500 Moragans shut off from the comforts of the 21st Century Tuesday, neighbors are stepping up and sending PG&E workers who come to their doors to re-light pilot lights on to the homes of elderly residents for whom a trip to Starbucks was considered not just for coffee – but to get warm.
If you have power, perhaps you can share it with someone who doesn’t. If you can wait a bit, perhaps you can send the PG&E people on to someone who can’t.
It’s warming up today, in more ways than one. Here’s a big NEWS24/680 Thumbs Up to those Moragans taking care of others out there…
Take care of your elders!!
Great to see this kind of caring but I have to say if one little sink hole and gasline can do this to Moraga I hate to think what a 8 + quake on the Hayward Fault is going to do.
Bought another generator yesterday.
Moragans will always take care of each other. I left my heart in Moraga… but we’re next door.
Glad you’re next door!
