Who Are “The Evans?” Walker Finds Ring On Shoreline, Seeks To Return It To Its Owner

It’s a long-shot, yes, but a NEWS24/680 reader is attempting to return a ring found Feb. 10 on the steps of Lucretia Edwards Shoreline Park to its rightful owner.

The ring is engraved inside the band with “The Evans,” so we have a name, followed by a date held back for identification purposes.

A note from the finder:

“We would love to return it to its owner. I am aware that it possibly was thrown in the bay and washed up on the steps with the tide but I wanted to give it a try. I know if I lost my ring that would be pretty upsetting…”

You never know, we’ve heard of longer odds being beaten before.
