Stirring the hearts of NEWS24/680 residents more, say, than a good presidential caucus is news that an offshoot of the destination eatery Gott’s Roadhouse will be coming to a location in Walnut Creek later this year.

Riders, bikers, and sippers in need of a good burger and fries always make sure to stop at the original Gott’s, an unassuming but landmark location in St. Helena, which celebrates food and good times like most small towns embrace their Fourth of July parade.

Gott’s owner Joel Gott plans to bring a Walnut Creek Gott’s to the former Fresh Choice location at 1275 S. Main Street, a 5,500-square-foot venue big enough to handle the restaurants famously big burgers.

“We are very excited for for Gott’s Roadside in Walnut Creek,” Gott told the San Francisco Business Times. “It’s a great town and an amazing building.

Besides St. Helena, the Walnut Creek location joins other Gott’s in The City and Palo Alto.

  1. Strange as it may seem to all the carnivores commenting here and on facebook I love this place for their Cobb SALAD more than anything else. It’s a garden market in a bowl and really good. My friends always say I’m nots for going to the T Rex side but love the salads. Maybe its the location. Love it up there.

  2. What great business. People lining up to pay $25 for a burger, garlic fires and small shake. I’m jealous (and hungry— and happy to pay!).
