Fair Weather Sailors may not have enjoyed last night’s Sky Show, complete with thunderclaps and lightning strike and lots of rain. We’ve learned never to call heavy rain a “monsoon” because we have friends and readers who have lived in monsoon countries and they get peeved when we compare our pantywaist Northern California storms to a full-on “coming at you from all directions” monsoon.
Still, it was a good night to gather ’round the fireplace with a few of your favorite people or critter-people and ride it out with a good book read by candlelight and maybe a cocoa.
