Martinez PD would like to speak with these two men.

Martinez police are asking anyone who may have seen two people robbing the Wing Stop restaurant at 1029 Arnold Dr. Thursday to contact them.

Police said the hold-up was reported at 10:30 p.m. when a citizen called police to say a robbery appeared to be underway. The witness reportedly told dispatchers that two suspects with knives had confronted the cashier. Moments later, dispatchers received a hold-up alarm from the business.

Officers said they arrived on the scene “within minutes” but that the two suspects, described as Hispanic men, had fled the area.

Employees said the pair entered the business and walked around the counter, holding a knife at an employee’s face while demanding money from the cash register. The cashier complied and the suspects fled the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of money.

Several customers were in the store at the time, police said, but no one was injured. It was not known if the suspects fled on foot or in a waiting car.

Suspect #1 – Hispanic male approximately 20 years old wearing a black jacket, grey hoodie and blue jeans.

Suspect #2 – Hispanic male approximately 20 years, red jacket, black beanie and black jeans.
